• The three connection lines to the electronic unit can be placed upwards in the license plate frame so that
they end precisely where the hole was drilled before.
• Use a file or other suitable tool to remove the sharp edges or burrs from the bore.
• Protect the edges of the bore from rust with varnish or other corrosion protection.
Before any other work, let the paint or corrosion protection dry completely. A hot-air blower can
be used to support drying (proceed with care to avoid damage from excessive heat).
• Pull the connection lines through the bore to the control unit and apply the bore with the enclosed rubber
grommet so that no moisture can get into the inside of the vehicle along the cable.
• Additionally apply elastic sealing mass (e.g. silicone) to the inside and outside of the rubber sleeve to
warrant perfect tightness.
