Life span

Use with ambient temperatures up to -20 °C is possible if the oxygen self-
rescuer was stored at room temperature before application and is exposed
to -20 °C for no longer than 30 minutes. The oxygen self-rescuer might be
difficult to open in cold weather conditions, and especially at minus
temperatures.

liability insurance association for miners (BBG):
In the field of supervision of the BBG, the "Recommendations of the
Central Mining Rescue Service of the BBG for the instruction in use
and for the maintenance of oxygen self-rescuers" apply.
They include the schedules agreed with the respective mining
authority for the verification and extension of the application of oxygen
self-rescuers in these companies.
