2.4 Operation with the various
power systems
2.4.1 Digital / Delta
The Control-Unit (6021) can be used
for control. There are 4 coding swit-
ches on the back of the Control-Unit
which are to be set as follows for
operation with Märklin-1-locomotives:
Switch

4

off
These switch settings are to be
changed only when the Control-Unit
is off. The direction indicator on the
Control-Unit is activated by these
switches.
The 4 auxiliary switches f 1 to f 4
cannot be addressed when using
the 6020 Central-Unit. The direction
indicator is likewise not present with
this central unit.
When set for Digital, this locomotive
can also be used with the Delta-Station
and a Delta-Mobil hand controller;
the four coding switches on the loco-
motive must be set for one of the
four Delta addresses. The headlight
auxiliary function is turned on when
operating with the Delta-Station.
Important:
This locomotive cannot be control-
led with the earlier 6030 Central-
Control or similar central units with
this earlier data format.
2.4.1.1 Setting the locomotive
address
The right water tank must first be
removed to change the digital
address (see page 48).
The locomotive's digital address is
set with the eight coding switches
➂
(ill.
) on the circuit plate. The loco-
motive is factory-set to address 09.
The following table shows the pos-
sible locomotive addresses together
with the appropriate switch settings.
Those switches whose numbers are
given must be set for "ON". The other
➂
switches are set for "OFF" (ill.
).
