DISK BLADE REPLACEMENT
Immediately replace the blade disk if worn-out or bad cutting. The bevelled or worn-out blades can cause
serious injuries to the user and make your machine loosing precision
WARNING!
-
Before changing the blade disk, disconnect the feeder cable. The feeder cable must remain
disconnected for every repair or maintenance.
- to prevent injuries from ejection of chips, do not use blade diameter bigger or smaller than 305
mm.
- do not use bevelled blades: it could be dangerous.
- only use cross-cut blades. If you use carbide inserted blades, make sure their toothing angle is
neutral or negative
Do not use deep toothed blades: these could flex and touch the disk protection
1. Reassemble the mitre saw cutting head in its highest position.
2. Lift the blade protection by pushing the release lever on the blade protection (Q) Fig. 2 in order to
reach the locking nut.
3. Immobilize the blade protection in its highest position, then push the shaft locking button (B) Fig.19.
4. Manually rotate the blade until the shaft is engaged.
5. Remove the screw from the shaft using the supplied hexagonal wrench (B) Fig.20.
Note : Turn the shaft screw clockwise to slacken it and counter-clockwise to tighten it. The fixing screw has
a left-hand thread.
6. Disassemble the shaft external flange, then remove the blade.
7. Clean all flanges before reinstalling the new blade on the mitre saw. Only install a 254 mm diameter
blade. Check that the blade rotation direction (arrow marked on the blade) correctly matches the
direction of the arrow marked on the blade upper protection. Make sure the blade is correctly
positioned behind the flange.
8. Apply an oil drop on the internal and external washers of the shaft.
9. Position the new blade on the mitre saw shaft, making sure the shaft internal flange is correctly
installed.
10. Replace the shaft external flange.
11. Press the blade stop button, fit the blade screw and tighten it counter-clockwise by means of the
supplied wrench.
12. Replace the blade protection correctly.
13. Make sure the blade protection works freely.
14. Gently rotate the blade to check it does not contact the blade protection and the shaft locking
mechanism turns freely.
15. Reconnect the mitre saw to the mains socket.
16. Start and stop the mitre saw rapidly avoiding to reach the maximum rotational speed, in order to check
a free rotation.
WARNING!
It is only allowed to use blades of the same thickness as the original blade; flanges are designed
for such thickness and can only grant the disk stability in such condition.
All the tools and accessories are made and checked by using the safest and most modern productive methods.
