10.3.4 Securing collectors with battens

1 Fixing screw with gasket

3 Right-hand cover strip
f Drill holes in the battens in the corresponding positions for
fitting (Ø 4.5 mm). There are ten fixing points per collector;
four fixing points at the lower end of the collector, six at the
upper end.
f Secure the collector to the battens using screws. Ensure that
the right-hand side flashing is secured on to the right-hand
collector and the left-hand side flashing is secured on to the
left-hand collector accordingly.
10.3.5 Roof outlet
f Remove the cover of the collector connection.
f Insert the plug-in connection of the "roof outlet with sensor
lead" into the collector connection at the flow end of the col-
lector array.

f Fit the connecting clip at the junction between collector and
plug-in connection.
f Secure the connecting clip by pushing down the locking tab.
f Loosen the nuts at the free end of the roof outlet.
f Insert the roof outlet through the previously drilled hole.
f Screw the nuts on the back of the cover on to the roof outlet.
f Fit the roof outlet at the return end of the collector array in
the same way.
