10. Installation
WARNING – Injury
Take care when handling sharp edges.
Wear protective clothing.
10.1 Installation location
DANGER – Injury
When working on roofs, observe the safety regulations.
Have all roof work carried out by a qualified contractor.
f Check the condition of the roof structure. Observe the statics.
If necessary, apply for planning permission from the relevant
authority.
Note
For the installation of a roof integration collector, a ten-
sioned underlay must be provided.
Note
The roof must have a pitch of at least 30°.
Where the pitch is steeper, additional work is to be undertaken
by a qualified roofer.
10.1.1 Edge and corner areas
The edges of the roof, and the corners in particular, are areas
where there are increased wind and eddies. Minimum clearances
must therefore be maintained.

A < 30 m
A ≥ 30 m
The width of the edge/corner area "R" is 1/8 of the narrower
roof side (A), but at least 1 m.
In residential buildings, office buildings and closed halls where
"A" is shorter than 30 m, the width of the edge area may be lim-
ited to 2 m.
The corner areas always have a square area with a side length
A/8.

Roof outlets
<
0.5 m < b ≤ 2 m
b > 2 m
Roof outlets include components that protrude more than 0.35 m
above the upper edge of the roof material at one or more points,
and that have a side measurement of at least 0.5 m. The width of
the corresponding edge area "D" is 1/2 of the longer component
side "b", but at least 1 m. The edge area may be limited to a width
of 2 m.
10.1.2 Standard snow load for Germany
When installing the solar collectors, observe the required mini-
mum angle of inclination. This is based on the snow load zone in
which the collectors are installed. Your local Planning Office will
provide the relevant information. When making this calculation it
is assumed that the snow can slide off the roof unimpeded.

* In accordance with the relevant Planning Office
The standard snow load must also never be exceeded through the
formation of snow traps, snow drifts and ice.
10.1.3 Installation height
The mounting frames are designed for a maximum installation
height of 20 m and a snow load of 1.25 kN/m². This corresponds
to a standard snow load of 1.2 kN/m².
