Fitting instructions
1)
Disassemble the bumper and remove the spare wheel. Loosen the synthetic buffer beam out of the
bumper and permanently remove the bumper supports out of the buffer beam. Make an incision in the
underside of the buffer beam of 65mm wide and 80mm measured as from the border of the buffer beam.
2)
Assemble the tow bar with the points (D) in the buffer beam, insert the bolts and the washers and screw
tight.
3)
Make an incision in the underside of the bumper according to stencil. Re-assemble the buffer beam
together with the tow bar in the bumper.
4)
Shove the whole in the rear in the chassis beams till points (A) match the provided drillings in the
underside of the chassis beams. Place the mounting plates (-e) and (-f) against the underside of the
chassis beam with the points (A) on the drillings where the towbar will be fixed with (fixing points A of
the towbar) and with (B) and (C) against the inside of the chassis beams.
Drill these points (B) and (C) transverse through the chassis beam with ø10,5mm, remove the mounting
plates again and enlarge these drillings only on the inside of the chassis beam till ø18mm. Insert the bolts
and the washers through the outside of the chassis beams, shove the filling tubes (-g) over the bolts and
replace the mounting plates. Insert all bolts and screw tight (see tension).
5)
Assemble the ball or housing of the escamotable together with the towing ring.
Screw tight.

Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
