place too long, or scarifying if the ground is wet or too dry can damage the grass.
- To prevent tripping take particular care when moving backwards and when pulling the scarifier.
- Always let the cutting blade rotates at top speed; do not work in such a way as to overload the
machine.
- Never pass the machine over the extension cable while it is running; make sure the cable is always
in a safe position behind your back.
Place the extension cord safely on a path or on an area already scarified.
- When working on inclines always stand diagonally to the incline in a sturdy, safe stance.
Do not work on extremely steep slopes.
- Empty the collection box when it is full in order to prevent the blade becoming clogged and the
motor being overloaded.
5.5- Aeration tips
With the rake (spikes) cylinder, the machine can be used as a lawn aerator for removing grass and
moss in the lawn as well as for cutting flat-rooting ranks.
In order that a healthy lawn can develop in the spring, it is necessary that greater amounts of air
penetrate the area around the roots of the grass.
We recommend aerating the lawn every 4-6 weeks depending on the state of your lawn.
To achieve good result and increase the lifetime of the rake cylinder, mow your lawn to a shorter
height (less than 4 cm) before starting.
Follow above tips in 5.4.
5.6- Working speed
The working speed may vary depending on the geography of the working area (e.g. flat ground,
hilly...), depending on the grass properties (e.g.: thickness, length, humidity ...) and the selected
working height.
It is important to maintain a working speed that allows full control of the machine at all times.
