bobby pin.
15. Press the lever and place the tip
of a strand of hair between the
hinge and the metal bar.
16. Release the lever.
17. Now wind the strand of hair
around the curling tong to the
hairline.
18. Leave the strand of hair in the
curling tong until the strand of
hair feels warm.
19. Carefully unwind the strand of hair
and open the hinge by pressing on
the lever, to detach the strand of
hair from the appliance.

HAIR SMOOTHER

You can gently smooth your hair with the hair
smoother. The plates of the hair smoother have
a ceramic coating that protects your hair. Ne-
vertheless you should not smooth your hair too
often. This particularly applies for coloured hair or hair that has been otherwise
chemically treated (e.g. perms).
Please do not use any chemical hair styling products such as hair spray before
smoothing your hair, to avoid burning your hair.
Caution: There is danger of burn injuries if there is skin contact, conse-
quently handle the curling tong very carefully!
Caution: In the "Hold" function (holding of the preset temperature) the ap-
pliance can no longer be switched off via the ON/OFF button. Never leave the
appliance unattended if it is in this function mode, because there is danger
of burn injuries!
Please note that the results can vary greatly due to the different hair structures
of each person. To prevent damage to your hair, select a temperature that is
suitable for your hair, ensure that you do not style coloured or damage hair at
excessively hot temperatures.
1. Prepare your hair as described in
the chapter, "Prior to use".
2. Check whether the round brush
has been fitted onto the appli-
ance. If yes, please remove it, as
described in the chapter, "Round
ring".
3. Unlock the hair smoother on the
handle of the appliance. To do
this turn the rotary regulator on
the handle to the left.

20. Repeat steps 11 to 17 to style the
remaining strands of hair.
21. Let your hair cool somewhat
before styling your hair with
comb, brush, or your fingers.
22. Switch off the appliance via the
ON/OFF switch (keep it depressed
for several seconds) and unplug
the power cord from the electrical
outlet.
Please bear in mind that the
appliance is extremely hot after
use. Only change the attach-
ments after an appropriate coo-
ling time, to avoid burns.
4. Now if you press the lever, the
upper plate of the hair smoother
opens.
5. Plug the plug into an electrical
outlet (220 V~, 50/60 Hz).
6. Switch on the appliance via the
ON/OFF button (keep the button
depressed for several seconds)
7. The display is illuminated blue
and shows 80°C.
