1. Ensure that the power tool is unplugged
and the liquid feed system is not under pres-
sure.
2. Turn the machine in a way ensuring ac-
cess to the operating tool. We recommend fixing
the machine in stationary position. Thus it would
be possible to use both hands for convenient
and safe assembly.
3. Clean the threaded and face surfaces of
the spindle (1) using a brush and soft cloth.
4. Clean the face surface and the opening
of the support flange (9) and the flexible back-
ing pad (10) by a brush and soft cloth and store
them for future use.
5. Place the support flange (9) onto the spin-
dle (1).
6. Ensure there is no dirt or foreign body
between the spindle (1) face and the flange
(9) face which may hamper their contact. The
presence of foreign bodies and disturbed face
contact are prerequisites for inexact movement
of the operating tool and increased vibration
causing unsatisfactory quality of the processed
surface.
7. Take the flexible backing pad (10).
8. Press the spindle lock button (3) and ro-
tate the flexible pad (10) clockwise until the but-
ton (3) sinks and locks the spindle (1).
9. Tighten the flexible pad (10) firmly to the
spindle (1).
10. Release the spindle lock button (3). En-
sure it has returned back to its initial position
and does not lock the spindle (1) movement. If
necessary rotate by hand the backing pad (10)
to release the button (3) so it can return to its
initial position.
REMOVING THE fLEXIBLE PAD
1. Ensure that the power tool is unplugged
and the liquid feed system is not under pres-
sure.
2. Turn the machine in a way ensuring ac-
cess to the operating tool. We recommend fixing
the machine in stationary position. Thus it would
be possible to use both hands for convenient
and safe assembly.
3. Press the spindle lock button (3) and ro-
tate the flexible pad (10) clockwise until the but-
ton (3) sinks and locks the spindle (1).
4. Take the flexible pad (10) and rotate it anti-
clockwise until the flexible pad (10) is entirely
unscrewed from the spindle M14 thread.
5. Remove the support flange (9) from the
spindle (1).

6. Clean the face surface and the opening

MOUNTING THE BRUSH
The brush (11) is fastened to the spindle (1) by
thread М14.
Model СMW 1212CE is delivered with mounted
brush (11).
In case it is necessary to mount the brush (11)
again perform the following procedures:
1. Ensure that the power tool is unplugged
and the liquid feed system is not under pres-
sure.
2. Turn the machine in a way ensuring ac-
cess to the operating tool. We recommend fixing
the machine in stationary position. Thus it would
be possible to use both hands for convenient
and safe assembly.

5. Place the support flange (9) onto the spin-
dle (1).

lease the button (3) so it can return to its initial
position.
