Breville recommends safety first

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
We at Breville are very safety conscious. We design and manufacture consumer products with the safety of you,
our valued customer foremost in mind. In addition we ask that you exercise a degree of care when using any
electrical appliance and adhere to the following precautions:
Read all instructions before operating
and save for future reference
Do not push produce into the feed chute with your
fingers. Always use the food pusher provided.
Do not touch the small cutting blades in the base of
the stainless steel filter basket.
Do not leave the Juice Fountain unattended when
in use. Close supervision is necessary when this
appliance is being used near children. Do not allow
children to use this appliance.
Always make sure the Juice Fountain is properly
and completely assembled before operating. The
unit will not turn 'On' unless properly assembled.
Always use the Juice Fountain on a dry, level surface.
Always turn the Juice Fountain off then turn off at
the power point before disconnecting from the
power outlet when not in use or when assembling.
Regularly inspect the supply cord, plug and actual
appliance for any damage. If found damaged in
anyway, immediately cease use of the appliance
and return the entire appliance to the nearest
Breville Service Center for examination,
replacement or repair.
Do not immerse power cord or motor base in water
or any other liquid.
EXTRA WIDE FEED CHUTE. DO NOT PLACE HANDS OR FOREIGN OBJECTS DOWN FEED
CHUTE. ALWAYS USE THE FOOD PUSHER PROVIDED.

Do not leave the appliance unattended when in
use. Close supervision is necessary when this
appliance is near children.
This appliance is not intended for use by young
children or infirm persons without supervision.
Do not operate any electrical appliance with a
damaged cord or plug or after the appliance has
malfunctioned or been damaged in any manner.
Return the appliance to the nearest authorised
Breville Service Center for examination, adjustment
or repair.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or
counter, or touch hot surfaces or become knotted.
Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas
or electric burner, or where it could touch a
heated oven.
Always turn 'Off' at the power point and remove
cord if the appliance is left unattended, if not in
use, before cleaning, or before attempting to move
the appliance.
Any maintenance other than cleaning should be
performed at an authorised Breville Service Center.
This appliance is for household use only.
The installation of a residual current device (safety
switch) is recommended to provide additional safety
protection when using electrical appliances. It is
advisable that a safety switch with a rated residual
operating current not exceeding 30mA be installed
in the electrical circuit supplying the appliance. See
your electrician for professional advice.
• Always make sure the cover is clamped (lock bar)
securely in place and before the motor is turned on.
Do not unfasten the clamps (lock bar) while the
juicer is in operation.
• Do not use appliance if the rotating sieve (filter
basket) is damaged.
ELECTRIC CORD STATEMENT
YOUR JUICER HAS A SHORT CORD AS A SAFETY PRECAUTION TO PREVENT PERSONAL
INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE RESULTING FROM PULLING, TRIPPING OR BECOMING
ENTANGLED WITH THE CORD. DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO BE NEAR OR USE THIS
APPLIANCE WITHOUT CLOSE ADULT SUPERVISION. IF YOU MUST USE A LONGER CORDSET
OR AN EXTENSION CORD WHEN USING APPLIANCE, THE CORD MUST BE ARRANGED SO IT
WILL NOT DRAPE OR HANG OVER THE EDGE OF A COUNTERTOP, TABLETOP OR SURFACE
AREA WHERE IT CAN BE PULLED ON BY CHILDREN OR TRIPPED OVER. TO PREVENT
ELECTRIC SHOCK, PERSONAL INJURY OR FIRE, THE ELECTRICAL RATING OF THE
EXTENSION CORD YOU USE MUST BE THE SAME OR MORE THAN THE WATTAGE OF THE
APPLIANCE (WATTAGE IS MARKED ON UNDERSIDE OF APPLIANCE).
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Your Breville appliance comes with the unique
Assist Plug™, conveniently designed with a
finger hole in the power plug, for easy and safe
removal from the outlet. For safety reasons it
is recommended that you plug your Breville
appliance directly into the power outlet. Do
not use in conjunction with a power strip or
extension cord.
