Switching the outdoor sensor
You can toggle between the 3 reception channels for the outdoor sensors by briefl y pressing
the "CH" button (9) (one outdoor sensor is included in the delivery, up to two more can be
ordered separately as accessory).
The corresponding channel number (1, 2 or 3) appears in the bottom of the display. If only bars
are displayed as temperature value, the respective sensor is not registered or not available.
Displaying minimum/maximum values
You can toggle between the display of the minimum values ("MIN" in the display), the maximum
values ("MAX" in the display) and the current measured values for the indoor and outdoor
temperature by briefl y pressing the "IN" (3) or the "OUT" (10) button.
For each minimum or maximum value the associated time and the date of the occurrence of the
extreme value are indicated at the top of display.
Resetting minimum/maximum values
• Resetting the values for the indoor temperature: Press and hold the "IN" button (3) for more
than 3 seconds.
• Resetting the values for the outdoor temperature: First select the channel for the outdoor
sensor whose values you want to reset (the channel number is displayed at the bottom of
the display) using the "CH" button (9). Press and hold the "OUT" button (10) for more than 3
seconds.
Switching the temperature unit (°C or °F)
• In order to change the temperature unit on the weather station between °C (degree Celsius)
and °F (degree Fahrenheit), press and hold the "DATE" button (7) for more than 3 seconds.
• To switch the temperature unit on the outdoor sensor, you have to open the battery compart-
ment (24) fi rst. Afterwards, briefl y press the "°C/°F" button (23). Close the battery compart-
ment again.
Range
The transmission range of the radio signals between outdoor sensor and weather station is up
to 30 m under optimum conditions.
This transmission range data refers to the so-called "free-fi eld range". However,
this ideal arrangement (e.g. weather station and outdoor sensor on a plain, even
meadow without trees, houses etc.) never exists in practice.
Due to the different infl uences on the radio transmission, no specifi c range can be guaranteed.
However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a single family house.
The range can be signifi cantly reduced by proximity to cables, pipes, metal pieces, electronic
devices, and similar. Thick walls, steel construction, laminated insulation glass windows, etc.,
also reduce the range very signifi cantly.
If you notice that the weather station does not contain any measured values of the outdoor
sensor, check the condition of the batteries in the outdoor sensor fi rst. Following that, select
another location for the weather station and the outdoor sensor. If required, perform a manual
search for the outdoor sensor (see the "Manual search for the outdoor sensor" chapter).
Replacing the batteries
A battery replacement is required if the display contrast of the weather station and the outdoor
sensor considerably fades. If the batteries of the outdoor sensor are empty, the weather station
only displays bars as measured value.
In this case, replace the batteries with new ones.
When replacing the batteries of the weather station, all data will be lost. Proceed as
described in the section of putting the device into operation.
With a battery replacement in the outdoor sensor, you have to start a manual search
for the outdoor sensors on the weather station, otherwise the weather station will no
longer fi nd the outdoor sensor.

Disposal
a) General instructions
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
Remove any battery/rechargeable batteries inserted and dispose of them separately
from the product.
b) Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries; disposal of them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries that contain hazardous materials are labelled with
the following symbols to indicate that disposal in the household waste is forbidden.
The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb =
Lead.
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the offi cial col-
lection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable
batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfi l your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment!
