3 | Safety

3.1 | Intended use

This gazzini Switch Unit for 22 mm motorbike handlebars is used
for indirect activation of functions of the vehicle electrics using
an electronic control module, e.g. from motogadget or Axel Joost.
The switch unit can be used as a menu button for electronic
instruments (speedometer/tachometer). The switch unit is
engineered for currents of a maximum of 0.05 A at a voltage of
8 to 32 V. Therefore, this switch unit must not be used to activate
direct electrical devices (such as a horn, high beam). These types
of electrical device must always be switched by an electronic
control module.
The switch unit is not designed for a specific type of motorcycle.
The suitability for installation depends on the compatibility with
the handlebars and the other electronic components. It can only
replace original switch units on the vehicle in conjunction with an
additional electronic module for button control.
