General
Caution:
•
Do not use the TABATABA® V2 in a non-medical environment.
•
Do not dismantle or interfere with the internal components.
•
Do not use the TABATABA® V2 in an explosive environment or in the presence of anaesthetic gases.
•
The TABATABA® V2 is a screening device. Values equal or close to 0 cannot, in any case, guarantee
non-intoxication. Only blood testing and clinical examination can determine intoxication.
•
The TABATABA® V2 is not a device intended for the protection of goods or persons. It should not be
used for domestic (heating, faulty fireplaces) or industrial purposes.
•
Use only the accessories supplied by FIM MEDICAL or authorized distributors.
•
If the TABATABA® V2 is not to be used for some time, remove the batteries.
•
Do not attempt to recharge the batteries.
•
Do not expose the device to vibrations or brutal shocks.
•
Do not store the TABATABA® V2 in the vicinity of chemical substances (paint, solvents, etc.) that
could lead to false measurements.
•
Green, orange and red LEDs are not indicators for hardware function alerts. The colour of the LED
only indicates different thresholds of intoxication (see § 3.1.1).
2.2.
Operators
The TABATABA® V2 should only be used by health professionals (doctor, pharmacist, tobaccologist, lung
specialist ...).
Health professionals should have no difficulty operating the device.
Results should be interpreted by a doctor trained in nicotine addiction studies.
The operator should be aware of the hygiene rules and bacterial disinfection.
If in doubt, the health professional should refer to the user manual and/or contact FIM MEDICAL or the
distributor.
2.3.
Medical contraindications
The TABATABA® V2 should not be used in the presence of respiratory illness and/or chest problems.
In all cases, a medical opinion is required.
