2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Never operate the power take off alternator near gasoline or gaseous fuel
because of the potential danger of explosion or fire.
Do not smoke or light an open flame near the fuel tank.
Never store flammable substances near the power take off alternator. There
must be no petrol, matches, explosive powder, clothes moistened with oil,
straw, wastes or any flammable products near the power take off alternator.
Do not operate the power take off alternator in a room, cave, tunnel, or other
enclosure that is not adequately ventilated. The power take off alternator
must always operate in a well-ventilated area, otherwise the engine may
overheat and endanger life due to the carbon monoxide present in the exhaust
gases. The power take off alternator must be placed at least 1 meter from
a structure or building. If the power take off alternator is used indoors, the
room should be well ventilated and extreme care should be taken with the
removal of exhaust gases. When installed in a ventilated room, the additional
requirements for protection against fire and explosion must be observed.

The power take off alternator should not be built-in or placed in a trunk. The
power take off alternator has a forced air cooling system and can overheat if
enclosed. If the power take off alternator is covered to protect it from the effects

Never pour water on the power take off alternator or wash it with water or a
high-pressure washer.
