9. PREPARATION FOR STORAGE
The following procedure must be followed before your power take off alternator is stored for a period
of 6 months or more:
•
Drain the oil from the gearbox, top up the level (see 4.2);
•
Check for loose bolts and screws and tighten them if necessary;
•
Thoroughly clean the power take off alternator with an oil-soaked rag.
■ NEVER USE WATER TO CLEAN the power take off alternator!
•
Store the power take off alternator in a well-ventilated, dry room.
10. TROUBLE SHOOTING
If, despite several attempts, electricity is not available at the outlet, the table below should be
consulted.
IF ELECTRICITY IS NOT GENERATED AT THE OUTPUT:
Check that the fuseless circuit breaker is in
position «I» (ON)
Check the correct connection of the socket.
Check that the power take off alternator
was started when an appliance was already
connected to the power take off alternator.
Refer to the specific paragraph present in the «Use and maintenance manual» relating to the
generator making up the group and which is supplied at the same time as this manual.
If electricity is not generated, contact the IMER France dealer or the nearest after-sales service for
more information and the measures to be taken.
Check that the total amperage of the electrical
equipment does not exceed the admissible limits
and that the device is not defective then switch on
the circuit breaker without a fuse
(position «I»). If the circuit breaker trips again,
consult the nearest service center.
Tighten the connections if necessary.
Switch off the switch on the appliance and
disconnect the cable from the socket.
Reconnect after starting the power take off
alternator.
