Current leakage
During operation the EC control emits a leakage current of less than 3.5 mA. The leakage current
must be earthed, as otherwise there would be a risk of the motor becoming a live conductor.
Earth leak circuit
Only type A circuit breakers must be used for single-phase EC controls in compliance with IEC755
breakers Amendment 2, for leakage current with DC content (pulsating DC).
