Examples C
Fasten the baseplate (FPT) to the roof socket and seal it with joint filler. Mount the fan on the
and D
baseplate, so that it rests on the rubber ring. In moist exhaust air, condensate may occur, and for
this reason the fan duct/roof socket always requires insulation. In these cases fasten the safety
wire (extra) to the pipe/roof base.
NB
For DTH with EC control, see Figs. 2B and Fig. 3B.
1.3 Service and cleaning
Fig. 4
The motor in the EXHAUSTO Roof Fan DTH has special ball bearings, which are sealed, greased-
for-life, and maintenance-free. If replacement of the bearings is required, this should be carried
out by EXHAUSTO SERVICE only.
Cleaning of the centrifugal impeller is to be done when required, depending on soilage, in the
following way:Lift up the fan from the roof duct, turn it over and separate it by means of the bolts
(h), after which you can lift off the bottom section (g) and the net (e). Brush the centrifugal impeller
and, if necessary, wash it in soap water. Do not flush the fan with water while it stands in this
position.
1.4 Mounting of roof duct/connecting cable
Fig. 5 and 6
The EXHAUSTO standard Roof Ducts TGR and TGK are made of a galvanized plate winding, 50
mm mineral wool for insulation/sound absorption, tissue, and, on the inside, a galvanized
perforated plate. The roof duct has an inner troughing.
Put the wiring cable into the troughing at the bottom and pull it out at the top next to the repair
switch. TGR: Mount the repair switch (not supplied by EXHAUSTO) on the bracket against the
gasket. TGK: Mount the repair switch (not supplied by EXHAUSTO) directly on the roof duct
against the gasket.
Put the connecting cable from the fan into the repair switch from the bottom through the threaded
cable entry.
NB
In the case of DTH with EC control the EC control box is mounted on the roof duct. The EC control
is connected via the repair switch. The control box must not be fitted upside down.
