INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Removal of packaging and transport
Remove the protective film taking care not to scratch the surface (use
scissors or a blade if necessary). Next, remove any polystyrene
protection.
Where the appliance has stainless steel components, remove the
protective film very slowly, without tearing, to avoid leaving traces of
adhesive.
Appliances must be moved using a fork lift trolley. Insert the forks under
the pallet and move the appliance to the site of installation taking care
that the load is properly balanced.
Caution: To avoid tipping the appliance over, do not push or pull it during
transport.
Disposing of packaging
Packaging material must be disposed of in conformity with current local
safety regulations.
Plastic packaging materials that can be recycled are labelled as
follows:
polyethylene: outer protective film, bag

polypropylene: straps
PP
expanded polystyrene: corner protectors
PS
compressed cardboard: corner protectors
GENERAL
Two versions are supplied.
1. With built-in electric fan, the models:
-KFV with electric fan 220-240 V (1) 50-60 Hz, type 9/9, 550W.
-KLWV with electric fan 220-240 V (1) 50-60 Hz, "lowered" type 9/9,
420W.
-KLCV with electric fan 220-240 V (1) 50-60 Hz, type 7/7, 300W.
All the models with built-in electric fan are fitted with an "automatic" fan
speed control, which adjusts the extracted air flow according to the
percentage of humidity measured in the environment by a sensor
placed in the suction flow.
2. Without built-in electric fan, the models:
-KF
-KLW
-KLC
The models without built-in electric fan do not have any speed control.
Only the models for the ovens (KF-KFV-KLW-KLWV) are fitted with
a labyrinth filter.
POSITIONING AND ASSEMBLY OF ELEMENTS
If the unit is installed in a place where there are corrosive substan-
ces (chlorine, etc.) it is advisable to go over all the stainless-steel
surfaces with a cloth moistened with paraffin oil in order to form a
protective film.
The appliance is intended for specific industrial use; any other use
is to be considered improper.
The hood must be positioned according to the following
parameters: it must be connected to an efficient flue directly to the
outside, of adequate size for the hood's extraction capacity.
KF-KFV models for convection steamers.
The hood is mounted directly by "resting" it on top of the oven.
Before finally positioning the hood, remove the hinge cover to be found
on the right side of the top of the oven.
Fix the hood through the support "D", which should be secured to the
oven using the two screws "A" and to the hood using the two screws
"B" (fig. 1-2).
The screw "C" is applied to the hole previously used for fixing the hinge
cover.
KLW-KLWV models for "Length Wise" convection steamers.
The hood is mounted directly by "resting" it on top of the oven (fig. 3-
4).
Remove the two rear screws to be found on the oven cover and fix
the hood to the oven using the same screws.
Two trims are provided (just one is used, the right one for oven with
hinge on right, the left one for oven with hinge on left), which serve
to cover the gap and should be positioned under the filters.
KLC-KLCV models for dishwasher with hood.
The hood should be wall mounted (the wall must be load-bearing), using
the four reversible brackets provided.
These brackets allow the necessary small adjustments for levelling
and for perfect connection to the dishwasher.
Refer to the assembly diagram shown in fig. 5-6, paying particular
attention to the brackets, which should be positioned according to the
type of machine being used (dishwashers with capacities of 900 and
1200 dishes/hour).
With the models for ovens (KF-KFV-KLW-KLWV), the recommended
minimum size for the flue pipe is 300x300 mm.
With the models for dishwashers (KLC-KLCV), the recommended
minimum size for the flue pipe is 250x250 mm.
It is also recommended that a damper always be installed immediately
above the hood so that the air flow can be correctly adjusted (thereby
avoiding over-absorption by the extractor).
AVC models
The recommended height from the floor is 1900/2000 mm;
the perimeter of the hood must protrude by at least 20 cm with
respect to the area of the appliances, and in any case that value
must comply with current local regulations.
Important! Make sure the ceiling or wall can take the
weight of the hood; otherwise have the necessary
masonry reinforcement work carried out.
HOOD INSTALLATION
The hood can be installed using the plugs and eyebolts supplied.
If the floor is made from hollow brick, resin plugs (not supplied) can
be used.
For installation operations, proceed as follows
- Mark the places for fitting the plugs on the ceiling or wall and drill
