4 .2 In case of a minor paper jam

In case of a minor paper jam the overload LED
(Fig. 1/3) will light up
1 . Grasp the excess paper from the top and pull it out
as you depress the REVERSE button (Fig. 1/8). Be
careful not to place your fingers near the feed ope-
ning or else serious harm could result.
2 . Make sure that all of the excess paper has been re-
moved from the feed opening.
3 . You are now ready to resume normal shredding.

4 .3 In case of a major paper jam

In case of a major paper jam the overheat LED (Fig. 1/2)
will light up.
1 . Turn off or unplug the power cord from the AC
outlet and wait at least 40 minutes for the thermal
overload protection to reset.
2 . Plug in the AC power cord and place the ready
switch into the ON position.
3 . lf paper was left inside the feed opening prior to
the overload, press the REVERSE button (Fig. 1/8)
and grasp the excess paper from the top and pull
it out.
4 . Clear any excess paper shreds from the feed ope-
ning. Be careful not to place your fingers near the
feed opening or serious harm could result.
5 . You are now ready to resume normal shredding.

Maintenance / Disposal

5 .1 Lubricating the cutting mecha-
nism
Cross-cut cutting mechanisms should be oiled regular
after a certain operating time to maintain the cutting
performance.
This can be easily accomplished if you pour special
shredder oil (Order-No. see „Accessories", p. 10) as
shown on a sheet of paper and feed it through the in-
let guide to the cutting mechanism (Fig. 2).

5 .2 Tip for energy saving

Please make sure that the shredder is switched off over
night (ready switch (Fig. 1/5) in OFF position).
Keep the shredder turned off or unplugged when not
in use for prolonged periods of time.

5 .3 Disposal of the machine

Always dispose of the machine at the end of its
service life in an environmentally responsible
way. Do not toss any part of the machine or its
packaging into the garbage.
