CARBON MONOXIDE
WARNING:
WHEN USED WITHOUT ADEQUATE
COMBUSTION AND VENTILATION AIR, THIS
STOVE MAY GIVE OFF EXCESSIVE CARBON
MONOXIDE, AN ODORLESS, POISONOUS GAS.
WARNING:
EARLY SIGNS OF CARBON MONOXIDE
POISONING RESEMBLE THE FLU, WITH
HEADACHE, DIZZINESS AND/OR NAUSEA. IF
YOU HAVE THESE SIGNS, STOVE MAY NOT
BE WORKING PROPERLY. GET FRESH AIR AT

SOME PEOPLE - PREGNANT WOMEN,
PERSONS WITH HEART OR LUNG DISEASE,
ANEMIA, THOSE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF
ALCOHOL, THOSE AT HIGH ALTITUDES - ARE
MORE AFFECTED BY CARBON MONOXIDE
THAN OTHERS.
Regardless of how safe this stove is, every fuel burning
appliance creates Carbon Monoxide. It is always a good
plan to reduce risk to you and your loved ones as much
as possible by installing a Carbon Monoxide detector.
It is recommended to install monitors in areas that are
expected to generate carbon monoxide such as heater
fueling areas, pellet fuel bulk storage areas, or sheds
containing hydronic heaters. Follow the installation,
operation, & maintenance instructions provided by the
manufacturer of your detector.
SMOKE DETECTORS
Have at least 1 smoke detector on each floor of
your building. Follow the installation, operation, &
maintenance instructions provided by the manufacturer
of your detector. Avoid false alarms by placing the
detector outside the immediate vicinity of the stove.
Typically a good installation location for smoke
detectors is near bedrooms.
