4.6.4.3 Printer
The SW164OSM matrix allows for the optional control of a serial printer or of the
switching controlled by a VTR trigger. N.B.: if the recognition of the VTR trigger is enabled,
the printer is automatically disabled!
Please check on printer User Manual:
• if it is controllable via RS232 (serial communication)
• Printer baudrate (300, 1200, 2400 or 9600 baud).
Considering the small number of characters sent, no handshake protocol between the
matrix and the printer is provided: the latter is considered as always connected and ready.
Check the baudrate: it must be as defined in matrix configuration (menu 7.4 Other
parameters, Printer Baudrate).
The heading "Printer baudrate" is shown in the menu only if the VTR trigger is not used :
in the opposite case, a warning message warns of the impossibility of controlling the
printer.

4.6.4.4 Videotape recorder
Check on the videotape recorder manual that the latter may supply an open
collector or TTL trigger impulse; the impulse is recognised on the falling edge.
