When several sensors type LK or type LK and type LI are mounted in a
vessel the following distance must be adhered to:
min. 45 mm between the probes.
For safe and easy mounting use the ifm mounting accessories (Order
no. E43000 - E43007).
NOTE: Maximum vessel pressure when mounted with mounting
accessories: 0.5 bar.
An overpressure of 3 bar is possible for a short time (max. 1 min.).
The unit must only be connected by an electrician.
The national and international regulations for the installation of elec-
trical equipment must be observed.
Voltage supply to EN50178, SELV, PELV.
Disconnect power before connecting the unit.:

For the safe detection of certain media (e.g. oils) and compliance
with the CE directives in accordance with the EMC Act the sensor hou-
sing must be electrically connected to ground. This is done by electri-
cally connecting the pre-mounted earthing ring or a corresponding fix-
ture to ground (e.g. the vessel wall).
The sensor uses the ground or the vessel potential as a reference. This
means that a measured current must flow from the sensor probe back
to the sensor through the medium to be detected. If the sensor hous-
ing is not grounded, the measured current can flow back to ground via
electrical cables in an undefined way. This may influence other mea-
suring components.
The level sensor conforms to the standard EN 50081-2 and it is a class
A product. The unit may cause radio interference in domestic areas.
Therefore the user may have to take appropriate measures, if neces-
sary.
Core colours of ifm sockets:
1 = BN (brown),
2 = WH (white),

3 = BU (blue),
4 = BK (black).
