LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS
A. Beforeattemptingtolighttheheater,checkallfittingsand
connections with a soap solution. NEVER USE A MATCH TO
CHECK FOR LEAKS. Should a gas leak occur, do not attempt
to repair or use heater. Return the heater to your dealer or the
addressgivenonbackpage.

C.Turntheheater's"Hi-Med-Lo-Off"regulatorknobto"Med"
(counterclockwise).
D. To light heater, place a lit match across the mesh screen where
yousee"lighthere"onthereflector.(SeeFigure5)THEN
pushinvalvebuttononSafetyShutoffValve.Aftertheheater
islit,continuetoholdvalvebuttoninfor30seconds,then
release the button slowly. CAUTION:DONOTPUSHINVALVE
BUTTONBEFOREINSERTINGLITMATCH.NEVERSTANDIN
FRONTOFHEATERWHILELIGHTING.REPEATSTEP"D"FOR
EACHBURNER.
E. Ifburnerdoesnotlightwithin30seconds,turntheheater's
regulatorknobto"off"(clockwise)andallowatleastfive
minutes for gas to dissipate before attempting to relight.
F. NOTE: Should the orifice become clogged as indicated by low
volumeofgaswhenoperatingon"Hi"withafullcylinder,
or should the heater fail to operate properly for any reason,
returntheheatertothedealerortheaddressgivenonback
pageforrepairorreplacement.DONOTATTEMPTTOREPAIR
ORTAMPERWITHHEATER.
G.Adjustheatoutputbyturningknobtodesiredposition.

SHUTDOWN AND STORAGE
INSTRUCTIONS
A.Thebulkpropanetank"on-off"valveshouldALWAYSbe
completelyturned"OFF"whentheheaterisnotinuse.
B.Whenshuttingofftheheater,turntheregulatorknobonthe
heaterto"OFF"(clockwise).
C. CAUTION:Afterturningunitoff,heaterwillremainextremely
hot.Allowatleast15minutesforcoolingbeforehandlingand
storing. Detach heater from bulk tank before handling and
storage.REMEMBER–POLfittingisaleft-handthread.
D. HEATER STORAGE: Indoor storage of the heater is
permissibleonlyifthecylinderisdisconnectedandremoved
from the heater. Cylinders must be stored outdoors out of the
reach of children and must not be stored in a building, garage
or any other enclosed area. Store cylinders only in accordance
withtheStandardfortheStorageandHandlingofLiquefied
PetroleumGasesANSI/NFPA58andCSAB149.1,NaturalGas
and Petroleum Installation Code.

A.Removethermocouple(3)retainingbracketscrewfrombackof
burnerassembly(2).Removebracket.
B. Notepositionofthermocouple(3)inretainingtabsonthe
backoftheBurnerassembly(2).Removethethermocouple.
C.Removewingbolt(18)andfiberwasher(19)thatattachedthe
safetyshut-off(6)totheburnerAssembly(2).
D. Slidethesafetyshut-off(6)fromburnerassembly(2).
E. Removeburnerorifice(20)fromthesafetyshut-off(6).
F. Cleanburnerorificewithcompressedair(80psimax).
G.Directcompressedairthroughtheburner(2)venturitube
toward the burner plenum so that dust collected on the grid
screenwillbeblownoutward.Keepfaceawayfromthegrid
screen.
H. Reassembleheaterinreverseorderofdisassembly.
