failure
The unit does not work
at all.
The unit is on but it
smells musty.
The unit is on but there
is a draught.
possible cause
No power supply.
System is out.
Too little ventilation.
The discharge tempera-
ture is too low.
The discharge rate is
too high.
explanation and solution
1. The power supply may fail. Check the operating switch
and the main fuse of the installation.
1. The fuse on the PCB may be defective. Open the
discharge grille. Next, open the electronics lid. Check the
fuse and, if necessary, replace it (32 mA; 5 x 20 mm).
2. A communication cable may be interrupted. Check the
cables. If necessary, (carefully) clean the contacts or
replace the cable.
1. The unit may have been set to recirculation. See manual
"Touch Control" or chapter "Configuration", section
"Controlling KLVV". If necessary, switch the unit to the
ventilation mode.
2. The ventilation rate may have been automatically halved
because the outside temperature is lower than 0 °C or
higher than 26 °C (see chapter "Configuration", section
"Controlling KLVV"). This is an energy-saving function
that cannot be lifted with the KLVV-R model.
3. The bag-type filter may be dirty. Clean the filter (see
chapter "Maintenance & Failures", section "Cleaning
filters").
4. The frost protection thermostat may have closed the
ventilation valve and switched the unit off because the
temperature of the discharged air was lower than 5 °C
(see chapter "Safety", section "Safety Features"). The
very low discharge temperature may have been caused by
all or a part of the CH system failing. Check the boiler
and the pump.
1. The discharge temperature may have been set too low.
Set the discharge temperature at a higher value (see
chapter "Modifications", section "Setting discharge tem-
perature").
2. The drive for the shut-off valve may have been incorrect-
ly connected to the control unit. Check the connections
and, if necessary, change them. Use the diagram posted
to the controller.
3. All or a part of the CH system may fail. Check the boiler
and the pump.
1. The fan speed may have been set too high. Set the fan
speed at a lower rate (see manual "Touch Control").
