A test rod with the diameter of the BWS resolution (R) is required to check the function of the light grid. The test rod can be
delivered by WERAC.
Es wird ein Prüfstab mit dem Durchmesser der BWS-Auflösung (R) benötigt, mit dem die Wirksamkeit des Lichtgitters
überprüft werden muss. Ein entsprechender Prüfstab kann von WERAC geliefert werden.
Il est nécessaire d'une baguette de test ayant le diamètre de la résolution du BWS (R) pour tester la fonction de la grille
lumineuse. Cette baguette de test peut être acquise à travers de WERAC.
Safe Distance
The safe distance between the safety area and the dangerous spots must be so big that the hazardous area can not be reached
after penetration of the safety area before the dangerous movement is stopped.

La distance de sécurité entre le champs de protection et la place de danger doit être si grande que, la place de danger ne soit
pas accessible lors d'un trépassage du champs de protection avant le mouvement provocant un danger ne soit interrompu.
The standard EN 999 defines specifications on the safe distance. If specific a standard (C-Standards) for a type of machine
exists, the definitions of this standard have to be used.

C-Normen vorliegen, sind die Angaben dieser Normen zu verwenden.

The calculation is correct for all safe distances up to 500mm. If the result is S < 100 mm, the minimum value S = 100 mm must
be set nevertheless. If S > 500 mm, K can be set to K = 1,6 m/s. In that case S must not be smaller than 500 mm.
Die Berechnung gilt für alle Sicherheitsabstände bis 500 mm. Sollte S < 100 mm werden, muß trotzdem der
Mindestwert S = 100 mm eingehalten werden. Wird S > 500 mm darf K = 1,6 m/s eingesetzt werden. In diesem Fall darf
S nicht kleiner als 500 mm werden.
La calculabilité est valide pour toutes les distances de sécurité jusque 500 mm. En cas que S < 100 mm, il est obligatoire
d'utiliser la valeur minimale S = 100 mm. Etant S > 500 mm, alors on peut mettre la valeur de K = 1,6 m/s. Mais alors ne doit
pas être S moins de 500 mm.

With the presence of children (non industrial area) the safe distance S must be increased about min. 75 mm.
Bei Anwesenheit von Kindern (nicht industrieller Bereich) muss der Sicherheitsabstand S um mindestens 75 mm
erhöht werden.
