Description of function

The oval gear meter is used for volumetric registration of the flow rate of pure, clean liquids
(max. 1000 mPas).
The oval gearwheels' speed of rotation is proportional to rate of flow. Surging and intermittent
flows can also be registered, since this is a volumetric meter.
Such meters are therefore extremely suitable for measurement of the volumetric flow pro-
duced by electric (motor-driven) diaphragm-type pumps (e.g. EMP-KISS, EMP II and
EMP III).
The rotation of the oval gears is registered by an inductive proximity switch and provided in
the form of a pulse output. The inductive switch may take the form of a PNP / NAN or a
Nauru sensor.
It is possible to use a pulse-divider board in order to modify these pulses for processing by a
PLC control system.
