7.2.3 Additional function 3: status indication via LEDs
If this function is active, the LEDs (18) will light perma-
nently when input F is activated.
This function can be used for visible status indica -
tion of the alarm system: For this purpose, connect
input F to an output which will deliver a control signal
(+12 V/0 V) according to the polarity adjusted for the
input (→ chapter 7.1) when the alarm system is
armed/disarmed.
The function is adjusted with the jumper (7):
jumper placed
function deactivated
jumper removed function activated
7.2.4 Additional function 4: audible status indication
If this function is active, activation/deactivation of input
F will be indicated by signal sounds: Upon activa tion, a
sequence of high audio signals will sound; upon deac-
tivation, a low and long audio signal will sound.
This function can be used for short audible status
indication of the alarm system: For this purpose,
connect input F to an output which will deliver a control
signal (+12 V/0 V) according to the polarity adjusted for
the input (→ chapter 7.1) when the alarm system is
armed/disarmed.
The function is activated/deactivated in the tone ad -
justing mode → chapter 9.
8 Setting the Siren Time
The maximum siren time can be set to 3 minutes or
10 minutes. After the siren time has elapsed, the siren
will be switched off, even if the alarm is not terminated.
However, the flashtube will remain activated for the
duration of the alarm.
Important: In case of outdoor installation of the siren,
the siren time must be limited in some countries (in
Germany to 3 minutes max.). Longer siren times will
cause noise disturbance which may be reported to
the police.
The maximum siren time is adjusted with the jumper (4):
jumper placed
siren time 3 minutes max.
jumper removed siren time 10 minutes max.
9 Tone Adjustment
The tone adjusting mode allows to adjust the sound of
the alarm tone by changing the parameters "frequency
range", "modulation type", and "modulation speed",
to select the type of the second alarm tone (→ chap-
ter 7.2.1), and to activate additional detection/
alarm functions.
Note: As the alarm tone selected is only audible when
an alarm is triggered, it is recommended to make the
tone adjustment prior to installation when the siren
should be connected to the terminals SPEAKER (10)
via a resistor (approx. 10 kΩ) to reduce the sound
level in the adjusting phase.
1) To activate the tone adjusting mode, remove the
jumper (8).
2) According to the adjustment desired, remove or
place the corresponding jumpers (1) to (7).

3) Replace the jumper (8).
After replacing the jumper (8), the tone adjusting mode
will be deactivated and the jumpers (1) to (7) will serve
again for setting the basic functions (→ chapters 5, 7,
and 8).
