Then tighten the lashing straps so that the suspension elements of the motorcycle are not
compressed by any more than 20%.

The fastened motorcycle can then be raised with the lever handle (17). To do so, push the lever
handle down firmly but measuredly (18) so that it can be hooked up, as shown in Fig. 5. Then lock
the retaining bracket and fit the additional safeguard (see Fig. 4).
6.4 | Coupling to the towing vehicle
To couple the trailer to the towing vehicle, first remove the plug connector from its mount. Lift the
trailer and first place the security cable over the ball head of the vehicle. Then position the towing
coupling directly above the ball end, pull the coupling lever safeguard and pull the coupling lever
forwards. Now direct the towing coupling down until you hear it engage and the coupling lever is
positioned horizontal to the tow bar. To check that everything is firmly in place, firmly pull the towing
coupling or the tow bar upwards (do not pull on the coupling lever itself). If the coupling comes
loose in the process, it is possible that the coupling is not correctly engaged or the ball end/towing
coupling is worn.
Connect the plug connector for the lighting to the vehicle socket. Make sure that the lug on the plug
connector fits into the slot on the socket and turn the locking mechanism 90° clockwise. Then carry
out a functional check on the lighting system.
6.5 | Decoupling from the towing vehicle
Make sure that the towing vehicle and the trailer are parked on an even, horizontal surface. Secure
the towing vehicle with the parking brake to prevent it from rolling away accidentally. Remove
the plug connector for the lighting from the vehicle socket by turning the plug connector locking
mechanism 90° clockwise. The plug connector can then be pulled from the socket. Insert the plug
connector into its mount.
Next pull the coupling lever safeguard upwards and then pull then pull the coupling lever forwards. The
locking mechanism is thus open and the towing coupling can be lifted upwards off the ball end. At the
same time, remove the safety cable from the ball end and set down and, if necessary, secure the trailer.
