Fitting instructions
1) Remove the inner coating out of the trunk and disassemble the bumper. Remove the buffer beam which is in the
bumper (this will be left out).
2) Place the mounting pieces (m) and (n) against the back of the body work so that points (A) come on the liberated
screw-thread holes of the buffer beam. Points (B) match the drillings in the body work which are sealed with
plastic caps. Remove those caps and place here the heightened washers. Points (B) have also to be drilled though
with ø10,5mm till in the trunk (marked with an indentation). Insert the bolts and washers by (A) but do not tighten
yet.
3) Place the mounting pieces (g) and (h) against the underside of the body work next the chassis beams so that points
(C) and (C') match those holes of the already mounted pieces (m) and (n). Drill also points (D) through with
ø10,5mm.
4) Place now mounting plates (i) and (j) in the trunk so that points (D) match the holes (D) which are drilled through.
Place the bolts and washers by (B) but do not tighten.
5) Drill now points (E) of the mounting pieces (i) and (j) through with ø10,5mm. Insert the bolts through the trunk
and place the washers and nuts on the underside. Do not tighten.
Place afterwards the tow bar between the mounting pieces (g) and (h) so that points (C) and (C') of the tow bar

match those of the mounting pieces. Insert the bolts and washers and tighten firmly (see tension).
7) Make an incision in the middle of the bumper. Replace the bumper. Replace the inner coating in the trunk.
8) Assemble the ball (*) and tighten also firmly.

Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
