Assembly and setting up

Never place the appliance underneath wall
cupboards or next to curtains, cupboard walls
or other flammable objects.
►
Place the appliance only on a heat-resistant
surface.
1) Take all the parts out of the box and remove
the packaging material and any protective
wrapping.
2) Clean all of the components as described in
the section "Cleaning and care". Ensure that
all parts are completely dry.
3) Place the appliance on a heat-resistant, clean
and level surface. Ensure that you do not
place the appliance directly next to a wall
or a cupboard.
4) Insert the fat drip tray
front of the appliance (see also fold-out page).
Before first use
1) Wipe the griddle with a damp cloth.
2) Lightly grease the griddles with an oil that is
suitable for baking/grilling. This will make it
easier to remove any manufacturing-related
residue from the griddle.
3) Close the appliance.
4) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The
red "Power" indicator lamp
The appliance heats up.
5) Wait for 5 minutes.
6) Then disconnect the plug and allow the
appliance to cool down.

►
The first time the appliance heats up, a small
amount of smoke and smell may be generated:
this is caused by production residue. This is
completely normal and is not dangerous.
Provide sufficient ventilation; e.g. by opening a
window.

Operation

The appliance is extremely hot during use!
For this reason, do not touch anything but the
handle
during use! Use an oven cloth if
you get hold of the appliance.
1) Now close the lid.
2) Insert the plug into a mains power socket. The
red "Power" indicator lamp

3) As soon as the green "Ready" indicator lamp
lights up, the appliance has heated up
