Adjust the desired angle of the handlebars around their transverse axis. Then tighten all four clamping screws alternately in small in-
crements to the specified torque of 8 Nm (6 Nm SQlab 8OX Trial Fabio Wibmer) if not otherwise limited, for example by the handlebars.
Warning
When clamping your handlebars, make sure that the correct diameter of 31.8 mm
is used and that the maximum tightening torque specified by the manufacturer is
observed. If this exceeds 8 Nm (6 Nm 8OX Trial Fabio Wibmer) the stem is not com-
patible with this handlebar. If the tightening torque is exceeded, fibre cracks or con-
strictions may occur, which can cause a handlebar failure that could cause a crash.
Warning
Even a short ride with one or more loose screws in the stem can damage the handle-
bars or the steerer and the headset so badly that they can no longer be safely used.
