The SQlab stem 8OX Trial Fabio Wibmer has to be used exclusively for trial riding on bicycles under the conditions of category 3 according
to ASTM F2043-13 or a lower category with a maximum system weight (rider + bicycle + luggage) of 120 kg.
This is a set of conditions for operation of a bicycle/component that includes Condition 1 and Condition 2 as well
as rough trails, rough unpaved roads, and rough terrain and unimproved trails that require technical skills. Jumps
and drops are intended to be less than 61 cm (24 in.).
The SQlab stem is only to be used on category 5 bikes according to ASTM F2043-13 or a lower category, at a maximum system weight
(rider + bike + luggage) of 120 kg.
ASTM F2043 Category 5 – The functional range of this category of bicycles and parts, in addition to the use condi-
tions specified for categories 1, 2, 3 and 4, can also be used for extreme jumps and downhills in rough terrain at
speeds in excess of 40 km/h.
The functional ranges are also colloquially known as gravity, freeride, north shore, slopestyle and downhill. For
these functional ranges, it is essential to ensure that the attachments are checked for possible damage after each
trip.
Dirt jump is not covered!
On our website www.sq-lab.com in the service area under Downloads, you will find a list of all functional ranges according to ASTM
F2043.
Bear in mind that this is a dangerous extreme sport, which can lead to unexpectedly high and unforeseen material stresses, even with
very good cycling skills and track knowledge. In extreme cases, this can lead to overloading and component failure of the bicycle and its
components, especially the stem. The above-mentioned functional range is very risky. You must expect unavoidable falls, injuries and
paralysis or even death.
