7. Maintenance
Check the technical safety of the fog machine regularly, e.g. for damage to the connection cables or to the housing.
If you have reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately and make
sure it is not unintentionally operated.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
•
the device, the remote control or the connection cables show visible damage
•
the device no longer works
•
the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a longer period of time
•
the device has been subjected to heavy transport strain.
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the device:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or parts are removed unless this can
be done by hand.
Contact points may also be live.
If the appliance needs to be opened for calibrating, servicing, repairing or replacing parts or
assemblies, it must be disconnected from all sources of current first.
If servicing or repairs inside the appliance are necessary, this must be carried out by a specialist
who is familiar with the risks involved and with the relevant regulations.
Capacitors in the device can still carry a charge even if the device has been disconnected from
all voltage sources.
a) Fuse Replacement
If it becomes necessary to replace a fuse, make sure that only fuses of the prescribed type and nominal current are
used (see "Technical Data").
Do not repair fuses or bridge the fuse holders.
•
After disconnecting the device from the mains voltage (pull out the mains plug!), use a suitable screwdriver to
carefully remove the fuse cap from the FUSE holder on the back of the device with the defective fuse.
•
Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
•
Now screw the fuse cap with the new fuse cautiously back into the fuse holder.
•
Only then may you reconnect the device to the mains and put it into operation again.
