350-20053
Read the complete manual before attempting installation and
activating the system.
1. DESCRIPTION
The 350-20053 PIR 360° sensor is a 2-channel lighting control system
that is fitted to the ceiling. The sensor is ideal for use in the following areas:
classrooms, lecture rooms, conference rooms.
2. MOUNTING
2.1. Installation (fig.1)
A The ideal amount of daylight is obtained by positioning the 350-20053
with its light opening facing incident daylight.
B If the 350-20053 is mounted directly on the ceiling, the opening distance
of 105mm can be used. Please note that the cable inlet is turned 45°
in relation to the fixing holes.
C If the 350-20053 is fitted to a flush mounting box, the holes provided
for this purpose are used, and the base cap is punched out. Insert the
cable correctly in accordance with the instructions for a fixed installation.
Please note that all installation work must take place with the mains
voltage disconnected.
- Do not expose the presence detector to direct sunlight, air flows of air
conditioning systems, heating...
- Please make sure the lens is kept clean and dry. You can clean it with
a slightly damp cloth.
2.2. Mounting the sensor (fig. 2)
- Press the sensor into the terminal strip in the base and fit the safety
screw Pozidriv (PZ) 0 / Philips (PH) 1.
- Set the 350-20053 as described in '4. SETTINGS'.
- The detection zone can be limited (fig. 6).
- Mount the sensor's cover.
2.3. Connection (fig.3 and 4)
- Switch off all power.
- Power from the mains is supplied via the terminals labelled L and N.
- Channel 1: The charge is connected via the terminals labelled
- Channel 2: The charge is connected via the terminals labelled
- The manual switch can be connected between the terminals labelled
L1 ( ).
EN
- Power up time (stabilization time). The lighting on channel 2 and the
integrated indicator LED are switched on for 4min after which the lighting
in channel 1 is switched on. Both channels are switched off after
7min.
- Connect ground to terminal
The 350-20053 can switch a load of 2300W (incandescent lamps) per
channel. See also '7. TECHNICAL DATA'.
2.4. Parallel switching
Mounting 2 sensors on the same contact affects the light control system
through the lux function and is advized against.

3. OPERATION AND USE

3.1. General operation

The integrated light sensor continuously measures the light level in the zone
and compares it with the preset value specified via the lux button (fig.7).
The lighting is switched on if the light level drops below the preset value and
the movement sensor detects activity in the detection zone. The integrated
'delayed off' function (1-30min.) ensures that the lighting remains on until
the sensor does not detect activity anymore or the selected light level is
reached. Set the 'delayed off' time with the TIME button (fig.7).
3.2. Classroom function (fig.8)
Fig. 8 shows how the sensor has to be positioned and how the classification
of channel 1 and 2 has to be set for an optimum use of the sensor.
a) The 350-20053 PIR sensor 360° switches on the lighting if the manual
switch is pressed.
- The channel 2 lighting is switched on.
- The channel 1 lighting is switched on if the light level is lower than the
preset value and the movement sensor registers activity in the coverage
area. If there is no activity in the coverage area and the cut-out delay
of 1-30min has expired, the lighting in channel 1 and subsequently
channel 2 is switched off. The sensor is then blocked. For switching
the light on again, press the manual switch.
b) The lighting can be switched off/on manually, e.g. to show a film or
