Secure the tractive unit or trailer using the parking brake or chocks to prevent it from rolling away (§55 or §40 VBG 12).
The underrun guard must be folded down when driving unhitched. Open the spring bolt(s) in order to unlock the
height locking function. After this, the underrun guard can be folded down by hand.
The spring bolt(s) can be reset during the adjustment procedure so that locking is performed automatically when the
lower driving position is reached.
The gas compression spring attached on the left side assists the adjustment procedure.
Proceed in the reverse order when folding up the underrun guard.
Maintenance:
All couplings shall be checked for tightness on a quarterly basis and, if necessary, with the specifi ed torques as well.
The bearing and the spring lock must be greased at suitable intervals over the lubrication nipples.
