6. Position the sprocket chain wheel cov-
ering (6). First place the tab (26) on
the cover into the corresponding notch
on the sprocket chain wheel covering
(6). Only lightly tighten the blade fixing
screw (5), as you will still have to ten-
sion the saw.
Tension the saw chain
The tension of the saw chain (2) is impor-
tant for your safety and for the function of
the equipment. A correctly tensioned saw
chain (2) increases the durability of your
equipment.
.
Check the chain tension before
each use of the equipment.
•
The saw chain (2) is correctly ten-
sioned if it can be pulled around the
blade (3) by hand without sagging
(wear protective gloves).
•
When the saw chain (2) is pulled with
a tensile force of 10 N (approx. 1 kg),
the distance between saw chain (2)
and blade (3) should be no more than
4 mm.
1. Hold the blade (3) firmly at the tip.
To tension the saw, turn the chain ad-
justment ring (4) clockwise.
To loosen the tension, turn the chain
adjustment ring (4) anticlockwise.
2. Tighten the blade fixing screw (5)
firmly.
For new saw chains (2), the chain
tension must be readjusted again
after a short time in operation.

Assembling the round
handle
1. Undo the two screws on the round
handle (11) supplied and take off the
rivet dolly (11a).
2. Place the round handle (11) in the
desired position on the telescopic
handle (10) and fit the rivet dolly.
3. Screw together the round handle (11)
and rivet dolly (11a).
4. The height or holding angle of the
round handle can be adjusted at any
time by slightly loosening both screws,
pushing/turning and retightening the
screws.
Assembling the
Equipment
1. Interlock the end of the hexagonal
aluminium pipe (10a) of the telescopic
arm (10) and the end of the device
attachment (29) handle as far as they
will go.. Whilst interlocking the two,
ensure that the nose (10b) of the hex-
agonal aluminium pipe (10a) fits into
the nut (29a) at the end of the arm
(see small image).
2. Fasten both parts using the screw
sleeve (8)
Swivelling the cutting head:
1. Press the locking button for the angle
adjustment (
2. Now you can swivel the cutting head (
29a) into the following positions
(0 / -15° / -30°). Use the ratchet steps
and allow the locking button to click
back into place.
.
