Remedy
(a) Discontinue feeding high-fat food for a certain period of time. Instead add foam-enhancing
substance, such as freeze-dried food containing protein (shrimps).
(b) Dismount the pump. Disassemble and clean the nozzle.
(c) Dismount the pump. Remove and clean the impeller housing.
(d) Dismount the pump. Remove the impeller housing, and check the play of the impeller. Clean
the impeller, if necessary. Replace defective impeller or any defective parts.
(e) Presumably the animal and plant stock is not complete yet; the tank is in the initial phase
probably; wait until the stock has increased; the skimmer can continue operating.
(f) Set the water level correctly.
(g) Allow a workshop to check the motor block and replace it, if necessary.
(a) Wait - the skimmed liquid will turn darker with increased load or stock (fish, invertebrates).
(b) Aquariums stocked primarily with invertebrates and algae, requiring little animal food have a
lighter skimmed liquid than aquariums with a larger stock of fish. No remedy required !
(c) Wait until released matter is skimmed and the usual coloration occurs.
(a) Clean the pump and the nozzle.
(b) Close by one turn and subsequently open again. Remove, disassemble, and clean the
skimmer.
(c) Place the hose without kinks, and replace it, if necessary.
(d) Check all air conducting parts (nipples, caps) for free passage and tightness, and replace
them, if necessary.
(e) Change will become noticeable after a while, and should be completed after three months.
(f) Reduce high-fat food.
Avoid any handling in the aquarium and on the units. Do not smoke in these rooms, if possible.
(a) Observe the recommendations to reduce the natural bubble formation.

(a) Dismount and replace the motor block.
(b) Remove the impeller housing from the pump and undo the impeller block, and clean the
impeller, if necessary.
