MAIN section

(44) Recording level display
The recording level display provides information about the output level of the mixer. The display shows both
channels individually. The left LED display represents the recording level of the left channel, the right LED display
represents the recording level of the right channel.
The display should not exceed 6, as otherwise the signal can be distorted.
(45) POWER LED
The POWER LED lights up when the device is switched on and powered.
44
(43) PHANTOM button
43
Use this switch to activate the phantom power voltage for the microphone
44
inputs (XLR sockets). The voltage is +24V for mains operation and +18V
for battery operation. Phantom power is needed for condenser
45
microphones. If you are in doubt as to the compatibility of your microphone,
consult the manufacturer of your microphone.
46
To avoid any interference, slide all channel faders
47
down completely before switching phantom power on
48
or off. Do not plug any microphones in or out without
turning off phantom power first. The phantom power
switch is connected to all microphone inputs. It is
therefore not possible to use dynamic microphones
49
and condenser microphones simultaneously. As soon
as the phantom power switch is switched on, all
microphone inputs are supplied with voltage. Do not
switch on phantom power if you are using dynamic
microphones. This causes damage.
