MAINTENANCE
With the exception of the friction pads, the
AKS is maintenance-free. Nevertheless we
recommend that all moving parts are clea-
ned thoroughly and oiled or greased lightly
after every use.
Ensure that no oil or grease drops onto
the friction pads and/or towball during
lubrication.
The coating of the towball must be com-
pletely removed.
On Class S towballs (11), use a grinding
gauge (12)!
The surface of the towball must be free
of dirt, rust and scores.
Permitted cleaning agents:
Paint thinners, white spirit, brake
cleaners.

Risk of accidents!
Do not clean the friction pads!
Cleaned friction pads have a greatly re-
duced damping moment.
Replace any friction pads soiled with
grease immediately!
