The DNCE-...-LS is self-braking. When the input torque is not applied, the piston rod will
be braked.
The piston rod can, however, move involuntarily when:
– the DNCE-...-LS is mounted in a vertical position,
– there is no holding torque on the drive shaft,
– there are vibrations.
Only the complete system DNCE-...-LS with MTR-DCI is self-locking.
When the input torque is not applied, the piston rod will be blocked.
The DNCE-...-BS is not fitted with a brake. When the input torque is not applied, the
piston rod can be moved freely. Generally speaking, self-locking of the complete system
can be achieved with motors with integrated holding brake or with high self-braking
torque.

• Consider the weight of the electric cylinder.
Depending on the design, the DNCE can weigh up to 10 kg.
• Ensure the following storage conditions are met:
– Short storage times
– Cool, dry, shaded, corrosion-resistant storage locations.

Requirements for product use

Warning
Unexpectedly fast moving masses can harm people or property (crushing).
• Apply power to the drive motor, at first limited to low speeds and torques.

Malfunctions will occur if the device is incorrectly used.
