appliances, pull out the battery plug or
clamp off the battery. Shut the device
off when switching to a different func-
tion.
Make sure that the power cord or exten-
sion cables are not damaged by run-
ning over, pinching, dragging or similar.
Protect the cable from heat, oil, and
sharp edges.
The power cord must be checked regu-
larly for damages, such as cracks or ag-
ing. If damage is found, the cable must
be replaced before further use.
The appliance may only be used by per-
sons who have been instructed in han-
dling the appliance or have proven
qualification and expertise in operating
the appliance or have been explicitly
assigned the task of handling the appli-
ance.
Please keep in mind that the power
cord or extension cable can be dam-
aged when run over while operating the
cleaning head with rotating brushes/
disks.
Maintenance work may only be carried
out by approved customer service out-
lets or experts in this field who are famil-
iar with the respective safety
regulations.

Proper use

The professional washing head PW 20
is an additional spray extraction appli-
ance. It can be used with the Puzzi 400
Series with built-in socket and is suita-
ble to remove heavy soiling from car-
pets.
This appliance is intended for inside
use.
This appliance is suited for the commer-
cial use, e.g. in hotels, schools, hospi-
tals, factories, shops, offices, and rental
companies.
With the PW 20, the dirt is brushed out of
the carpet by a rapidly running brush in ad-

dition to the spray extraction process. This
allows a thorough cleaning of even severe-
ly soiled carpets.
 Get the washing vacuum Puzzi ready to
operate.
 Connect the spray/suction hose and to
the appliance (Fig. A).
 Connect the PW 20 to the spray/suction
hose (Fig. B). Ensure that the couplings
of the pressure hose lock in.
Using the additional socket:
1 Slide the protective cover into the direc-
tion of the arrow with the PW 20 appli-
ance plug.
2 Insert the PW 20 appliance plug into the
auxiliary socket of the washing vacuum
Puzzi (Fig. C).
3 Operate the PW 20 as per the operating
instructions.
Turning on the Appliance
 Start up the washing vacuum Puzzi.
 Start the brush drive on the appliance
switch of the PW 20 (Fig. D).
Note: The brush drive will stop when the
brush is blocked. For troubleshooting in-
structions see "Fault assistance".
 Use the valve handle (Fig. E).
This will spray on the detergent solution.
The wastewater will be immediately vacu-
umed back up via the suction nozzle.
 Pull the PW 20 backwards in slightly
overlapping runs over the carpet.
 Start in location so that you will not have
to walk on already cleaned areas.
 Release the valve handle while driving
forward (empty lift).
Turning Off the Appliance
 Switch the brush drive off at the appli-
ance switch.
 Shut off the washing vacuum Puzzi.
