Problem
The saw will not start up
The engine starts up
but does not reach the
correct speed.
The engine will not hold
the minimum speed.

Cause
No fuel in the tank
Stop/Start switch positioned to Stop
The air lever was not switched off after
the first explosion
Engine flooded (wet spark plug)

Remedy
Fill the tank
Put the switch to Start
Switch off the air lever and try to start up.
If the engine is flooded see point below.
Unscrew the spark plug, dry, pull the
starter cord a few times, refit the spark
plug and start up.
Replace the spark plug with a new one.
If the problem persists ask your me
chanic to deal with the fault.
Remove the spark plug and clean carbon
residue with a brush. Replace with a
new one if necessary.
Check the distance between electrodes
with a thickness gauge and correct
(distance 0.5 mm).
Clean the tank with petrol, fill with a
new, clean and water-free fuel.
Remove the filter and clean
For accurate adjustment contact your
regular service centre.
Clean the tank with petrol and fill with
recently purchased fuel.
Clean and replace if necessary
Clean the breather pipe
Clean the filter with a brush
Remove the spark plug and clean carbon
residue with a brush. Replace with.
a new one if necessary
Turn the minimum screw T (fig. 10 Ref. T)
of the carburettor clockwise. At minimum
speed the chain MUST NOT rotate and
the engine must continue to run.
