b) Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with this tool.
c) The operator of this tool is completely
responsible for accidents and damage to other
persons as well as property (property damage).
d) Do not use this tool if other persons, especially
children or animals are in the vicinity.
e) Always wear eye protection and work boots
when working with this tool.
f ) Only work during daylight hours or with good
artificial lighting.
g) Only switch on the tool when hands, feet and
all other body parts are at a secure distance to
the tool.
h) Always switch off the tool and remove the
battery (if applicable)
- if you leave the tool unsupervised
- before removing jams
- before control- maintenance- or cleaning tasks
- if you have come into contact with a foreign
object
- whenever the machine starts to vibrate
uncontrollably
i) Take care that you do not injure your hands and
feet with the cutting elements.
j) Always ensure that the ventilation holes (if
existing) are free of dirt.
k) Only use spare parts recommended by the
manufacturer.
l) Store the tool out of the reach of children.
FURTHER SAFETY DIRECTIONS
For your personal safety:
Wear suitable work clothes such as boots with
non-slip soles, sturdy long trousers, gloves and
goggles.
Do not wear long flowing clothing or jewellery,

as this may be caught by moving parts. Do not
use this tool while walking barefooted or while
wearing open sandals.
a) Do not use the hedge trimmer in the rain.
b) While using the hedge trimmer please always
wear working gloves, goggles, boots and long
trousers.
c) The tool is designed to trim hedges. Do not use
the tool to cut branches, hard wood or other.
d) Do not attempt to dislodge a blocked/trapped
blade before switching the tool off.
e) Before commencing with the trimming check
the hedge for hidden objects such as wire etc.
Always hold the tool so that one hand securely
grips the handle.
f ) Do not use the tool in the vicinity of flammable
liquids or gasses. Fire- and explosion risk exist in
the event of a short circuit.
g) The blades have to be checked for wear in
regular intervals and re-sharpened. Blunt blades
will overload the machine. Resulting damages
are not covered by warranty.
h) Do not attempt to repair the tool yourself,
unless you are schooled in this field. All works,
which are not described in this manual, may only
be performed by our Service-Centre.
Safety information: Battery and charger
Do not expose the charger to rain or moisture in
general. If moisture penetrates into the charger,
there will be a risk of electric shock.
Only charge the battery using a charger specified
by the manufacturer. Chargers are only suitable
for the designated type. It will cause a risk of fire
when you charge with other battery types.
Do not use the charger to load other batteries.
The charger is only intended for lithium-ion
batteries of the designated type and with the
