7. Basic Functions
Autotare function
The autotare function must be selected in setting mode (see separate descripti-
on 470.702.119 User Mode UCAL 1 pos. 03) and automatically tares the first
weight on the scale.
Place the additional weight on the platform.
When the platform is still, the first weight value in the tare memory is accepted.
After the scale has been unloaded, the tare memory is cleared automatically.
Provisional Tare function
A provisional tare function can be assigned to the Function key (see Chapter
8.1). Unknown tare values can be added to the existing tare value without
changing the net reading.
Press the Function key to activate the provisional tare function.
Hold appears in the display.

Place an additional weight on the platform or remove an additional weight from
the platform.
Press the Print key to accept the new tare value.

7.4 Switch Off / Shutting Down Safely

Press the On/Off key to switch off the scale.
This is possible immediately if the scale is empty and the displayed weight is 0.
Press and hold the On/Off key for 3 seconds if a load is on the scale.
Note for rechargeable battery version:
When not loaded, the scale automatically shuts down after a pre-determined
time (see separate description 470.702.119 - User Mode).
