The contra-angle is supplied unlubricated and unsterilised. Before first
use, the contra-angle must be lubricated and sterilised. (See "Hygiene and
maintenance" §.).
U Before use, check that the contra-angle is not damaged and no part is
missing. It is also important to operate the contra-angle slowly and increase
the speed gradually.
E
For sprays :
• Ensure that the spray is always sufficient and regular (failur to do so creates
risk for the viability of the tooth and neighbouring tissue).
• To cool the treatment area, only an appropriate correct temperature cooling spray
must be used.
• If irrigation stops, the contra-angle must immediately be removed from use, failure
to do so creates risk of burning for the practitioner and patient.
