Occasional charging
Do avoid occasional or partial charging.
Note
Each started charging process, even if it only
lasts a few minutes, constitutes a charging
cycle. As the battery only tolerates a limited
amount of charging cycles, you should only
recharge empty (25%) batteries in order to take
advantage of the full capacity.
If you use the stacker truck during shift operation,
the battery should be replaced by a second battery
during the shift changeover and the previous
battery be connected to the charger in order to go
through a complete charging cycle. The battery
must be replaced by trained technicians only.
Storing the battery
Before storing the battery, recharge the battery.
The battery loses capacity during the storage
period through self-drainage. If the capacity of the
battery falls below 30%, you must recharge it
completely.
The battery should be stored in a cool but frost-free
area.
Battery exchange
If the battery capacity decreases or the battery fails
completely, have it replaced by a trained technician
only. The improper replacement of batteries cannot
only lead to technical problems, but also physical
harm or health damages.
Battery log
Record the maintenance intervals and recharging
processes in the battery log. This will allow you to
trace back precisely all recharging processes
performed.
