Causes and solutions

Drive malfunctions (motor and gears)

Noises

Stop work if unusual noises inconsistent with the
normal sounds of the stacker truck are observed
during
operation,
in
consequential damage and costly repairs.
Contact a trained service technician to identify the
error. Do not try to locate the source of the error.
Warning
Engine parts, gears, coolers, hoses and
controls can become very hot during operation.
There is a danger of burns.

Temperature

If the temperature of an electronic component has
risen due to high load and intensive use of the
stacker truck, leave the stacker truck in the on
position so that the fan(s) can provide sufficient
ventilation of the electrical components. This should
allow the temperature balance to re-establish itself.
If, however, the temperature has risen due to a
defect, the stacker truck must be turned off
immediately to avoid further defects.
A dirty fan can be cleaned carefully with
compressed air. When doing so, pay attention to
personal
safety
and
surroundings,
and
use
protective equipment as required for handling
compressed air.
Regular cleaning of the equipment reduces the risk
of such downtimes.
Contact a trained service technician to carry out
repairs.

Leaks

In case of leaks, work must cease immediately and
the stacker truck must be switched off. Any loads
that are still on the forks must of course be safely
put down first. Collect any escaping fluids in
suitable containers, and absorb liquids that have
already leaked out with suitable binding agents.
Cover any traces that may be present, such as
traces of oil, to ensure they can pose no danger to
people and the environment.
Superiors must be informed immediately about the
type and quantity of the escaped liquids.
Warning
Operating materials such as battery acid and oil
represent a danger for people and the
environment.
Warning
Operating materials such as hydraulic oil cause
slippery surfaces.

Hydraulic failure

Hoses

Immediately stop work if a hydraulic hose bursts or
deforms during operation, carefully lower the raised
load and secure the stacker truck to prevent
unauthorised use.
The defect must be fixed by a trained service
technician before work with the stacker truck can be
continued.
Collect any escaping hydraulic oil in suitable
containers, and absorb hydraulic oil that has
already leaked out with suitable binding agents.
Superiors must be informed immediately about the
type and quantity of the escaped liquids.
