• Works on gas pipes must only be performed by a
qualified installer.
• Electrical works must only be performed by electricians.
What to do if you smell gas
Danger
Any gas leak has the potential to cause explosions that
could result in very serious injury.
• Do not smoke! Avoid any naked flames and anything
that could cause sparks. Never use
switches for lamps and electric devices.
• Close the gas supply valve.
• Open windows and doors.
• Move people away from the danger area.
• Notify the gas supplier, electricity supplier and installer
from outside the building.
• Cut the electricity supply to the building from a safe place
(outside the building).
