IMPORTANT: If using a frequency converter on a standard 575V motor, certain
precautions must be taken.
• Either a special output sine filter with common-mode voltage suppression or an isolation trans-
former on the input of the converter is required.
• If neither of these solutions is possible and it is required to operate a 575V motor on a frequency
converter, special designs are available from Franklin Electric for most motor ratings.

Motor Operation with a Soft Starter

NOTE:
When operating a motor with a soft starter, the relevant operating manual must be observed!
Set the starting voltage of the soft starter to 55% of the nominal voltage and set the running up and delay
times to max. three seconds.
Bridge the soft starter after running up, using a contactor.

The motor is maintenance-free, no maintenance or service activities are necessary.
